A message from Galirik founder Amir Hamidpour : When I look around at the current state of social networking within society I see a sad digital landscape that both connect and isolates us from one another. The connections I see being made over mainstream social media apps are not the type of connections we should be turning into our new norm. Most of these connections being made are just a means for attention and something to do when one is bored. What I want to do is completely revolutionize social networking and change it from what we have been shown through mainstream social media apps and create a app that is going to help make meaningful connections easier and more accessible, in a hope that we can stray away from the false sense of connection we are given when using todays social media platforms, because the truth is we have never been more isolated.
